HELIX PAD

The Helix Pad is a public structure embedded in the surrounding landscape intended for acts of meditation and conversation. The grass entrance to the helix ramp is lined with seamless concrete edges which lead to a gracious circular pad. Nestled beneath the landing pad is a sunken pit featuring debossed ovular cutouts for hosting guests to sit. To further capture the spiraling momentum of the entire structure, a small pond and garden sits between the ascending spiral and edges of the pit.
